GAADART is a philosophy of life which comprises sustainable fashion, design, architecture and art. This concept born from a family line of architects who seek a new way of expression and live in view of this new era.
The idea of this brand is to create clothing lines 100% sustainable, designs that comfort our space , architecture that performs functional spaces without forgetting the role of shelter and art that connects with today’s times.
GAADART clothing line is focused on recovering local crafts, using fabrics with history and working with the local people of a Mallorca. “The garments that I have design are inspired by my travels to Japan and the history of my island, thus creating a symbiosis relationship between both cultures. Each garment or accessory is designed from a memory or a current moment. One of the first garments I made was inspired by an old cotton shirt of my father, with Asian aesthetics, which he wore to celebrate the silver wedding anniversary with my mother. I have recreated that design with a new pattern and a different material, with the idea that, that garment remains with you in the best and worst moments, a ceremony between garment and person, where both take care of each other’’
The wool sweaters arose out of the necessity to use such a beneficial material but little valued on the island. Thanks to the Llanatura team, who is in charge of taking advantage of the wool from Mallorca with the generation of environmental and social services, I have been able to create this wool line, 100% sustainable, with zero residue and locally hand made.
GAADART is a reminder that everything takes it’s time, that elegance and simplicity go hand in hand, and that garments are companions of adventures, with the hope that several generations can inherit that garment and thus connect with its origins.
